About LayOver S.N. updates
LayOver S.N. is just at its beginnings, but we are going to be working hard to come up with its best version until we'll develop it on native for both iOS and Android platforms. To give you the opportunity to follow its development from closer, you'll find below the list of changes applied to the application when a new version is released.
You will also find the list of the features, bug fixes and improvements we are working on.
1.3.1
1.3.1 is an extension of the previous 1.3.0. It also has a huge improvement in the update verification system, most importantly for Android users. In this update, a lot of previously added new features has been tweaked and expanded to the entire app. And as always, it includes bug fixes and improvements to continue refining the user experience of LayOver S.N.™.
Existing features
- The update system has been designed for a release on both iOS and Android at the exact same time. We can make it so both platforms receive updates at the same time but one could delay the other because of store restrictions, platform adjustments in development and many other reasons. This is why the update system has been refined to allow both platforms to have their own version independently of the other.
- This behavior has been applied to all of the dynamic viewers present on the app. You can now close every single one of them with this native behavior.

Bug fixes and other improvements.
- Fixes a bug that caused Android users to be redirected to the Apple Store to download an Android update when available.
- Fixes a bug that caused the user report viewer not to appear centered on the screen.
- Fixes a previous design that wasn't updated that displayed the "report user" button on the message title bar from messages search. Now hidden.
- Viewer system unified and optimized.
- Improves the display of in-app browser content taking in consideration dark mode.
- Fixes a bug related to display and slide down to close behavior on the referral view.
- Fixes a bug that would show the keyboard even when a view was closed.
1.3.0 (Latest version)
1.3.0 is a small update before the big changes. It includes fine tweaks and refinements before the great release and promotion of version 2.0.0.
New features
- The layout of the home page has been reworked for a much more confortable usage. Every button previously organized all over the screen has been grouped into a single smart button placed at the reach of your thumb. Smart gestures has been added with this button to accelerate navigation for hard-core users. Tap, slide in the direction of the button you want to trigger and release to confirm your selection. Give it a try !
- You can now use the slide down gesture on almost every section that pops on top of the main views. We are restrained by the fact that LayOver S.N. is a Hybrid app, but we want it to behave and feel as much as possible like a native app. This is why adding this feature was crucial to us. It makes in-app navigation easier, more confortable and intuitive.

1.2.1
1.2.1 is an accessibility update that comes with great new features and many improvements. This update focuses on the growth of LayOver S.N. It includes changes in the SignUp and validation system to allow users not actively flying for an airline to access the global lobbies. A friend referral system has been created granting users with a Premium plan reward. Bug fixes and improvements have also been applied to this new version.
Existing features
- Revisits the account creation system to make LayOver Social Network™ accessible to all flying crew, wether or not, they are part of an airline. You can now create an account submitting your pilot or flight attendant license and decide to get access to the airlines dedicated lobbies later on, submitting your company ID for verification.
- We built our system to prevent eventual intrusions / leaks in any airline lobby verifying, before loading any message, that our users really belong to it. We added an additional layer of safety on top of it with our new Airline ID Verification System (AIDVS) now made independent of the account creation. Users that didn't go through the airline registration process won't be able to access the airline lobby window at all.

- We wanted to thank our users for bringing more people to the network. Now we can ! You will find your Refer-A-Friend code on your profile section. From there you will also be able to visualize your referrals' status.
For more information about the referral program, click here ! - When you run the application for the first time, guide views will popup to introduce you to the section you're heading to. Some of these views will also prompt you to confirm that you agree with the lobbies terms and usage conditions.

Bug fixes and other improvements.
- Fixes a bug that causes the camera plugin to take about 10 seconds before running when called for the first time.
- Changes the way "Friends list" and "Black list" sections are displayed on the screen. They now open in a separated view instead of within the profile section. This prevents having to scroll back down the profile page when leaving the Friends and Blacklist sections.
- Fixes a bug that causes automatic emails sent from the app to be considered as Spam.
- Fixes a bug that causes the in-app browser to display the wrong page before loading the new targeted url.
- Fixes a bug that causes the in-app iFrame to show a blank screen instead of the targeted page.
- Fixes a bug that caused some buttons not to be enabled when content would be pasted in certain inputs.

1.1.0 is a necessary update to implement and improve main functionalities that increase significantly the user experience. The setting page has been populated with many other options. The lobbies are now optimized and loading in a more refined way. And many minor bugs and improvements have been made for you to enjoy even more your experience with LayOver S.N.

New features
- A Premium plan management page has been created and is accessible from the app's settings.
- Login and Signup system was probably the first system to be developed on LayOver S.N. and was doing its job. But it had to be reviewed. During this process, we reinvented the system and made it so the users could choose to allow or not multi-sessions. You can now decide if you want to be able to log in on several devices at the same time, or not. And if so, you can easily disconnect your account from any other device with a simple tap from the settings page.
- To prevent any malfunctioning of the application, a version verification system has been implemented. If a major update is available, the app will only take you to the Apple Store to update it. If a minor update is available, you will be noticed by the app on its launch, but will still be able to choose not to download the update.

- Fixes an issue that causes the lobbies to load older messages coutinuously without adjusting the scroll position to the last read message position. The loading system has been slightly modified visually speaking.
- Fixes minor bug that causes the Premium plan manager to load layover's home page before loading the plan manager.
- Fixes a bug that causes the lobbies to load twice the first 20 messages when taping on the "Reload Chat" button many time rapidly.
- Fixes a bug that would prevent the user profile picture, once uploaded on the server, to be updated on the user profile view without restarting the app.
- Fixes visual bugs related to the Dark mode that would set the wrong color on several buttons.
- You can now show someone else's profile from the lobbies members list in the details section tapping on their name.

1.0.0 launches a visually refined mobile application with all its core functionalities working like they should. This version will give you an overview of LayOver's main goal and hopefully seduce you and encourage you to keep up with the upcoming updates.
